issue with Firefox 1.5 screen size, please help

ok i recently reinstalled windows xp. I then loaded firefox 1.5. i cannot get it to open in the size window i want. what do i have to do to get it to open in the size and area that i want. no matter where i resize it and position it it always opens back up the way it looks in the picture. please help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it does the same thing.

Go to the properties of the firefox shorcut (link). Click "run" and select "maximized" if you want it to open in full window. If you want some other size, try closing firefox while holding the Ctrl key.

would you know why my logitech thumb mouse buttons )forward/back) don't work on firefox?

that works on setting it to full screen, but preesing ctrl while closing doesn't resize the minimized window to the right side. Opening in full screen is better but i would prefer to open in a minimized screen in the location i prefer. still wondering how to fix that.

That's strange. Pressing Left-Ctrl and clicking on the close icon works everytime for me. I tried every size and location of the firefox window and everytime, it restarts as the size/location as the last session.

Are you referring to side buttons on MX510/518 or higher model mouse? They work for me. I didn't install any logitech software.

yeah, its the mopuse from the lx700 combo. i did install the setpooint software and my scroll wheel works, even with the left/right tilt. its just the thumb buttons that don't very odd. they work fine in IE.
