Issue with DFI and Samsung

I had some problems getting my DFI motherboard to recognize my new Samsung HDD at all- finally, I got it to boot to the windows install, format to NTFS, copy files, and reboot- but upon rebooting, it says "Error loading operating system". It's done the whole deal twice! What can I do?

what is the drive's specs and are we talking winXP?

The drive is an ATA100 and it's 80GB. Standard issue IDE. XP Pro legal.

Are you still having a problem? Have you tried another HD? I'm thinking of getting one of these boards and having used ASUS for everything else I've built, problems like this one give me the willies....:shocked:

After the install, did you switch your boot drive back to the hard drive as opposed to the CDrom?
