Issue with Dell 2001FP DVI-D Connection?

I recently acquired my Dell 2001FP LCD monitor (yay!). Love it so far, but one issue is that on boot-up it frequently will not display anything. If I turn it off, then on again, the display will then properly work. I have a Radeon 9700 PRO connected to it through the DVI-D cable supplied by Dell. Any comments/suggestions?

Thanks!

I have the same issue with all my LCDs using the R9700, R9800 pro & R9800XT (all built by ATI).

I found some improvement in drivers cat 3.9 and newer, however doesn't fix the issue all together. My FX5950's do NOT have this issue, ATI does have better DVI performance or quality above 1280X1024 in most cases.

How does your LCD display res's other than 1600X1200, like 1280x1024 and/or 1024x768? is the graphics still good at lower res's other than 800x600?

That's the only thing keeping me from a 1600x1200 LCD.
