Issue with computer start UP plz help

well i have compaq evo d500 n the OS on it is windows xp it wasn't showing normal start up menu as it used to appear before the thing is now i have to type the user name manually...plz help me solving this problem.

Reset your motherboard BIOS. There should be a battery on the motherboard. Short it out or pop the battery out for 10 min.
