Issue with closing system on Windows 10.

Yesterday i get weird issue on Windows 10 when closing system. When i click close system ( turn off pc ) , system closed fine, pc closed fine. But next time when i booted to Windows 10 it boots fine but event log register that system goes off from sleep mode.

Pc register livekernelevent: win32k.sys but there was not bluescreen i dont saw a bluescreen.

So question. It is related to my hardware or system?

Windows 10 ,newest Anniversary update.

PC:
6700k stock
Asus Z170-P
Corsair 750 RM
16GB DDR4 Kingston
Gtx 1080

Windows 10, by default, doesn't do the traditional shutdown when selecting that command. You would want to reboot for a full shutdown. The standard shutdown in 10 is more like a hibernate. You can change this if you want:

It only happens when you shutdown the system, if you restart nothing happens. What could it be? Maybe a BUG? because it does not display any BSODs or works strange. It works fine but this shows up in the event log. Can you help me?

I don't see an issue here. This is normal Windows 10 behavior. Are you having any actual problems?

I have a related problem i think
I have a lot of "Hardware Errors" named LiveKernelEvent in the windows realibility feed that pretty much say "windows stopped working correctly due to a hardware error"
This doesnt happen every day,its very random when it happens actually sometimes a few days in a row then not at all for a week and so on
The only thing that is steady is that IF it happens it always happen on the first boot of the day for example today i started my pc first time at 17:05 then had to reboot twice for updates
---> Hardware error livekernelevent at 17:05. - when this happens it also creates a dmp file in c:\windows/LiveKernelEventReports and all those files are named sys32.k-"date of the day in numbers"

What could this be? Also related to the windows 10 behavior when shutting down the computer or rather using fast startup?
I dont have actual problems on my computer tho,it can be turned off just fine it boots fast and works perfectly fine so to me its only a very annoying bug but the hardware error entry in the realiability feed kinda worries me...

Like Ketchup is saying, this is how Windows 10 works (and a large part of how it gets the impressive boot times it does). Unless your system is actually having noticeable problems (crashing, freezing, BSODing), leave it alone.

Update your video card driver, and let us know if that fixes your issue.

Will do...how can you see that it might be gpu driver related with the Screenshot/info i provided (just curious to learn more)

I had to update my video driver with that build, and the majority of Google hits for your issue with Windows 8 and up found the video driver to be the cause.

But if its ddriver related why isnt it happening everytime i boot? Since 28.10 it only happened 30 times so once in four days (my gpu driver wasnt up to, date in those four months also) that seems kinda weird to me

Sometimes a driver conflict happens in concert with other drivers or apps. That can cause such variances.

What Corkyg said. Also, with Windows 10, a shut down, start up has turned into more of a hibernation, unless you specifically go in and tell it not to.

I see well today no error in the realibility feed but then again i wouldnt even notice it withoutslut checking as the Computer works fine even if it appears

Update: I changed two things that seem to resolve the issue!
First thing i changed: after i turn my pc off i usually instantly turn my Connector strip to off as soon as my pc goes silent (that probably was too early i guess)
Second thing i changed: i set sleep mode/hibernation mode to "never" so my pc shuts down instead of going to sleep

Which one of that it was? I dont really know but the error hasnt occured for the last 3 days now

Probably yes,i could imagine shutting down the power to my pc too fast could´ve been the culprit also as the name of the error (session has valid pool on exit) kinda matches what happens when i turn off the power button literally a second after my pc fans and led turned off...but probably irrelevant and hibernation was the fault - thanks for all the help!

(then again,my laptop also has such an error sometimes and when i checked it is set to "never go to sleep mode" BUT its turned on to turn standby after xx minutes - so pretty much hibernation is also the cause on my laptop im pretty sure.)

Update: just closed all programms on my pc and hit “shut down“ then i heard the usual Windows errorsound but no error appeared or anything my pc just continued and did shut down....any idea what couldve lead to this errorsound when regulary turning off my pc? It really surprised me..
Could this be the problem leading to “session valid pool on exit“? Guess ill see tomorrow.

Edit: errorsound probably happened cause i closed spotify just a sec before shutting down and, it is in my autostartprograms so it probably caused the errornoise - stupid me!

Okay so today after over a full week without the problem happening today i had the kernelevent error again eventho hibernation is turned off and i cleaned up my autostart.
This tells me that fast startup is the only real option left to cause this,is this correct or not?´

Another update: only the dumpfiles seem to be created on the booting sequence while the error seems to happen when i turn off my computer (every dmp file i take a look at with bluescreenview shows that the error happens just as i turn of my pc as the name of the error indicates "session has valid pool on exit" any suggestions how to finally fix it?

I suggest you to follow the methods below and check if this helps:

Method1: Try to uninstall and re-install the display drivers.

You may follow these steps to uninstall and reinstall the display drivers:

1. Press “Windows Logo” + “R” keys on the keyboard and type “devmgmt.msc” in the “Run” Command box and press “Enter”.
2. In the “Device Manager” window, search for the display drivers, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.

Method 2: You can try installing the drivers in compatibility mode and check if this helps:

1. Press the ‘Windows key on the keyboard.
2. Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.

Well it doesnt happen every day or even on a regular basis and no error pops up even - its only listed the reliability feed of Windows 10 so it doesnt really bother me im just curious as to how it is
Can i just uninstall my Driver with DDU (DisplayDriverUninstaller) and install the new one?

Also on a Sidenote im not using the latest Nvidia Driver at the moment maybe this causes it also.
What do you think?

Edit: With displaydriver you mean my GPU Driver obviously so me not using the latest one causes this maybe?
