Greetings!
A buddy of mine bought a pair of these mesh access points. Has GREAT coverage all over his home. He also has a detached garage, and could get some coverage on an old 2.4 GHz wireless N adapter.
He upgraded to a 802.11ac adapter and found a TON more access points, but strangely, his were not listed. We (I was on the phone) fiddled around and when he turned of 802.11ax mode, he could instantly see his access points from the garage, both 2.4 and 5 GHz.
But now he cannot connect to either access point. Neither on 2.4 or 5 GHz. I have had issues before with a device needing the router to be set at a higher channel to get better speeds, so I thought it was worth a shot, but I can't find any way to get to any 5GHz channels above 40 on these things.
Any ideas that anyone has as to what might be causing the connection issues are welcome, one and ALL!
If anyone actually has one of these units and has figured out how to enable higher channels, any hints would be appreciated. Read the entire owner's manual and it only shows the channels going up to 40 (in a picture), so I'm hoping that this isn't something that some engineer decided we didn't need!
Thank you for ever reading this far. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
