issue with a bios password on a quantex laptop...

Ok I have a friend that got a older quantex model ts30t i'm guessing it runs windows 98 or ME, anyways it wont boot up at all because the bios wants a password and no one knows it. She took it to a shop and said the cmos battery is soldered onto the actual motherboard so they couldnt easly remove it. Does any know a solution to fix this issue or do you know where I can get a bios flash update thax...

You shouldn't be able to flash the bios without the password...

Remove the battery, let it die,
hope they dont use EPROMS like dell.
replace battery
