Issue installing Tiger Woods 2003 Win XP

Here are the system specs:
MSI-KT266A MB/Athlon 2400+
GeForce 4 4200 TI

All Drivers are latest

When installing I get CRC Errors and can't continue. Attempted on 2 drives and received the same error at different points. Besides this I have no other errors to speak of, infact NBA Live 2003 installs correctly.

TW2003 is running just fine for me on XP with a Epox 8RDA/2000+/GF4 Ti-4200.

Which of the 3 installation discs (install, media, courses) is giving you the problems, or do you get the CRC errors on more than one CDROM? It sounds like it could be a bad disc. Did you just get the game recently, or have you ran it fine on other operating systems?

You might try using CloneCD to rip the CDs to your HD and use a "Virtual CD" like Daemon Tools to mount them. This could eliminate a problem with the actual CD drives (unlikely though).
 
That game installs fine on my machine, and then just after it starts and I use Tiger, it freezes at the first tee.
 
My friend posted that, it installed fine on me. He was getting CRC's on the first CD. He just upgraded his PC, added a new CPU and Video Card, Tiger seems to be the only proggy that messes up. All I can figure out, is he saw a message on MSI on how to get his CPU working with his MB, it wouldn't boot. And he ended up removing something from the MB. Somebody had the same problem and fixed is that way. Sounds like a cheap rig, but hay if it works it works 🙂
