Issue - corsair tx650w

I just upgraded my psu and gpu.

Installed gpu (gtx570) which eliminated some sata ports. I am only using the ports for my harddrive and dvd rom now.

My previous psu had a 4 pin connector that went to something called ATX_CPU on my mobo.

The corsair doesnt have this pin or anything that connects to this atxcpu. I had to eliminate it....

Closed case up and started pc up only to have it start for 1.5 sec and shut off (this repeats)

What could be the problem?

There should be a 8pin EPS/ATX 12V (4+4 pin) CPU connector that you can split, use that for atx_cpu.
Look at the manual page 8 or 9.

Yeah, assuming this is the TX 650 V2(I own the same one), it has a 4+4 pin connector. So, one of those has to go to the motherboard or it is definitely not going to work..... My mobo has the full 8 pin connector, if yours doesnt, it may just be a 4 pin.

It was kind of a pain in the ass, cause the 4+4 pin dont connect together like they do with most other power supplies. I had to zip tie them together so I could easily connect them into the 8 pin socket.

I owned the corsair 750 watt v1 psu as well, and the 8 pin connector clipped together. Somehow in the newer version they opted to not have them do this? Retarded to say the least.
