oh yea, forgot, the most paid off area in history.

christmas trees are there because of businessmen, not because they specifically want it or requested by the christian community.

I do believe I saw an article where christians where complaining because they smothered it with diamonds, gold, and silver, and they said it was insulting.

as soon as the decorations came up, was as soon as they came down because they dont want to offend the people keeping them economically alive.

they want to let the businessmen feel happy so they can invest there.

All this proves is that one Israeli town believes Christians and Muslims have equal standing and rights in Israel itself.

Please quote whatever portion of the article you believe supports your claim here.

The entire article supports what I'm stating. Nothing in it supports you at all. Are you sure you posted the correct article? Have you clicked on the link after you pasted it?

The legal counsel for a prominent civil rights group said the court's implicit opposition to discriminatory housing could keep the issue from recurring.

and

"There is a foundation to the argument that the [Israel Lands] Administration must oversee the land being sold in an equitable, non-discriminatory way, including by private companies that win tenders it issues," the court found.

Yeah "could," as in the prosecution council was unsure how to interpret the decision.

There is a foundation to the argument that the [Israel Lands] Administration must oversee the land being sold in an equitable, non-discriminatory way, including by private companies that win tenders it issues," the court found.
Sure, they implied there was a good argument against such discrimination, but not necessarily any legal one as you imply. Put simply, you read the "illegal" you claimed into it yourself.

I did when I posted it. And I've read the article, both back when it was current again after you took issue with it. That said, perhaps this article about a settlement over in the West Bank banning Jews who they deem not Jewish enough might help you wrap your head around how much discrimination is tolerated by the Israeli government.

That is irrelevant. We are talking about the SC's opinion.

They indeed say it was a legal one. They just can't go into it because of lack of standing.

I think that the Israeli government is quite bigoted.

However, that article doesn't show the Israeli Supreme Court supporting what you claim it is doing. You didn't paste anything from the article when you posted it. Please explicitly state whatever portion of the article you believe supports your claim here. I'm guessing that you've only read the beginning of the article and perhaps the headline. You also posted another link saying that they didn't have standing that didn't even talk about standing. It seems that you're just posting random links without even reading the articles!

You should never post that article again because it in no way supports your position.

You're the one who quoted the prosecution council, I was simply replying to your argument. And then you go on to waive your hands and accuse me of arguing in bad faith.

Go ahead and try to setup a Christmas tree publicly in Gaza, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
Let me know your results.

You're the one who posted an article thinking that nobody would read it. What do you think that is?

Before posting a statement like this, what I would do is toss something like the words Christmas Iran into google images and see what would come up.

Hmmm I wonder what Christmas in Suadi Arabia would be like?

Saudi Arabia does not claim to be a haven for other faiths. So is Israel. Yet Israel gets 100% support from some posters. That is the topic we are discussing.

Well if true, Israel should not cancel christmas for anyone.

It will rain stones on the infidels

It is raining tear gas on infidels (gentiles) in Israel, another nation of self righteous religious government.

Ironically United States is the best friend and supporter of these two nations.

Yeah, it's particularly disturbing how Israel and Saudi Arabia are the ones most pushing for us with our large Christian majority to attack Iran, while Iranian Christians are treated notably better than those in either Israel or Saudi Arabia.

Durrrrr:

"In Tehran and other major cities, large decorated Christmas trees appeared not only in Christian-dominated neighborhoods, but large stores, shopping centers and flea markets all over the capital."

http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/indepth/2010-12/22/c_13660454.htm

"Israel decided this year that Christians below the age of 35 years old won't be able to obtain a permission to go to Bethlehem for Christmas, Tarazi said."

"In the Gaza Strip, there are two major Churches, a Catholic Church and a Greek Orthodox Church. The 3,000 Gaza Strip Christians usually celebrate Christmas and New Year at the churches and feast with each other during the festivals, despite the hard living conditions due to more than three years of an Israeli blockade and political split between Gaza and the West Bank."

"The Christians in the Gaza Strip have been unable to light and ornament the Christmas tree in Gaza City's main square since 2006. The streets of Gaza used to be full of lights and ornaments on the Christmas eve four years ago, where there are only small-scale celebrations taking place nowadays."

Funny thread, if this happened in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other country people would yell "BLASPHEMY." Since it's Israel, it's okay.
