I've heard this from other sources as well.

Can we PLEASE kill Saddam NOW?!?!?

Sigh...

Ya, just saw that....Though it did seem speculative (ie "All the steps lead to him [Bin Laden]," Reuven Paz, a leading expert on Islamic terrorism, said. "Of all the countries, Iraq seems the most reasonable
[candidate]."

If it is true....bye-bye Baghdad

Yea, we should get the spoils of the war...

How about free oil for the next 50 years instead?

I don't think Iraq would be an easy enemy to deal with. Saddam is crazy enough to just blow up the whole planet if he really wanted to. That's what scares me about this news. Please dont let it be Iraq...

why haven't we killed saddam in all these years? is it because we're afraid of who's gonna rule over iraq afterwards (maybe somebody even more evil etc) or is it because we havent been able to?

Have things changed in the last 10 years?? There's no question that Saddam is nuts, but I don't think his military capabilities have increased that greatly since the Gulf War

I never really understood either. I always thought we could just send in Rambo. ;)

<< Interesting report.

>>

Well then again.. Israel has never really had any great happiness with Saddam or any Muslims for that matter.

I'll wait until we have the BBC repeating and verifying that information, alongside with CNN, and the rest of the news media. I am not going to trust a report like that..

It's like Nazis uncovering a plot that Jews are going to take over the world; would you believe it? Not me. I'll wait for some more information.

Because it's illegal. Assassinating foreign leaders was outlawed after multiple attempts at taking out Castro, and looking really stoopid doing it.

I think we COULD have, and SHOULD have, but didn't because of the magic word.... oil.

Course that's my cynicism for you... That's why Saddam went to the best you know.. AMERICAN schools, and was trained by Americans in well... technically terrorism. Why would America want to waste their investment?!?!?

This is an interesting take but I won't be surprised if it's true.

An "accidental nukke explosion" in Baghdad and Afganistan is fine by me.

Hercules, I feel the same way. Israel is not exactly neutral in this situation. They have alot to gain if ther US wipes out Iraq.

Now if the US or some other moderate Arab country came out with the same report, I will believe it.

I don't think Saddam would be able to put up much of a fight against the multinational force that will strike if and when the truly repsonsible can be positively ID'd.

U.S. + Britain + Germany + Russia + China (hopefully) could erase the whole fvcking Middle East if they wanted to, without even needing nukes.

Remember this:

Saddam was trained and financed by Americans.

Bin Laden was financed by Americans (during the 80's when Bin Laden was a member of the Moujahadin in Afganistan (sp?) fighting the USSR.)

These two people have used our finances and resources and turned then against us!!

Well, if it's true, it would certainly expediate the "healing process" of revenge for a lot of Americans....
