first of all, fuck the BBC it has 0 credibility in anything regarding the middle east.
second of all, usually Palestinians killed in gaza are the ones who hang around too close to the fence, trying to lay down IEDs and there are countless cases which were stopped before they go to doing it. i dont know if these guys did try to lay down IEDs but its a possibility. an army does not kill civilians for fun as some of you like to believe.

Grenades had previously been launched at Israeli's and the Palestinians made the mistake of picking up a weapon fromthe same location.

The context is that an image can make or break the war.

Nguyen Ngoc Loan was a Brigadier General of the South Vietnamese Republic Army, and he rise to fame after the pubic execution of a communist VC fighter/murderer. The media and people in the West saw the act was an indespicable act that help end the Vietnam War. However, contrary to the West, the South Vietnamese and its media saw what Loan did was a heroic act and made it an example to deter VC from infiltrates/murdered South Vietnamese citizens.
