Critical thinking is important..."Because we have access to $6B for humanitarian efforts, we can free up money we had budgeted for that and provide it to Hamas"

Fact is, Iran has a history of doing this, so why would we think they didn't fund this with money, weapons, technology, intel and more?
This attack was planned for a long time but kudos on the attempt to blame Biden.

Seems I found some of that.
Palestinians broke through the border, seized entire settlements, killed / captured as many men, women, and children as they could.
Yes, Palestinians dragged mothers and children from their homes, while also parading around / played with corpses on the streets.
It was a house to house, ethnic cleansing operation.

Guess it'll be harder for the world to ignore with such public video, but if I learned anything from Ukraine, most the world does not care one bit. Not one bit. Even Western nations will look at the terrorists use of human shields and reward them for it with sympathy, and eventually provide political / military benefit. If "do not return fire" is not the immediate call, it soon will be.

None of what I've seen, while terrible, makes me think this was somehow a super expensive operation. They caught the Israelis flat footed and focused on their own internal problems.

You partisan poltics people are all the fuckin same - insufferable.

I'm sure that $6B windfall just magically showed up and there was NO negotiations, none, it just magically appeared.
If one can be true, both can.

Fact is, Iran funds the terrorists Hamas - with or without the $6B, this would have happened. But with an extra $6B perhaps the magnitude of this would have been less, perhaps it would have been postponed to give Israel additional time to gather Intel. We have no idea -

Giving pallets of cash to Iran, Russia or any other adversary is not a swell idea and Biden and our State Dept should get backlash for this idiotic move.

Do you have proof for anything u posted?
When did they give them pallets of cash?

There is nothing to support this theorizing. It’s clear this attack was planned long before there was any agreement to allow Iran access to its money in South Korea via Qatar.

If the argument is that we should not do deals with shitty people there goes like 70% of US diplomacy. Like the Saudis are fucking garbage but we can’t not interact at this point.

I fundamentally disagree with your opinion. At some point we have to try and bring hostages who are Americans home. We can’t control other nations in perpetuity and already blaming Biden is so dumb and typical. This was happening regardless because both sides are nuts.

I don't fundamentally see the difference between what Russia is doing in Ukraine and what Israel is doing in the Middle East. Seams like two countries trying to steal land, yet we support one and not the other.
The only difference is that Ukraine doesn't slaughter Russian civilians in response while Hamas proudly does. That makes it a lot more difficult to secure international support.

But but but, "You partisan poltics people are all the fuckin same - insufferable." Clearly Dr. Detroit is totally objective.

Sadly, pretty insane stuff going on. Total incompetence all-around, both from the Israeli military and the government. I don't think Hamas expected to have such a successful attack, nor still have military forces (+ hostages) in Israel more than 12 hours after they got in.

I don't think you can just order up thousands of missiles in a few weeks just because you have the cash.

Israel has relatively good relations with the Putin regime and has for some time. However at this point Russia's relationship with Iran is likely much more important to them along with Russian interests in derailing a Saudi-US tie up. So between keeping Iran happy and looking after their own interests I could see them making certain choices here.
Remember when Trump was first in office he allowed the Russians into the Oval? That day he disclosed some secret intel that Israel gave us

I’m not saying that was directly involved but it needs to be investigated

Israel has been committing slow-motion genocide for decades. This neither helps nor hurts the average Palestinian who has lived their whole life as a second-class refugees in their own land. The erasure of the Palestinian people will continue.

This was an attack that included lots of planning, infrastructure and weapons. Like sandorski said you can’t do all that in a couple of weeks

You should have taken the under on my bet. Who knew it would only take you a few hours.

I do not support what Israel is doing in the West Bank, but 20 Years ago there were 3.3 million Palestinians in the Palestinian Territories - now there are around 5.2 million. That's not how genocide usually works.

He has no evidence but when has that ever stopped people like him and the right wing media?

He’s writing their copy for them. That’s why we are still looking for the crimes committed by Joe Biden. They don’t need evidence. Just say it enough until it sticks.

How many more times will we by submitted to this same song and dance?

The hostage situation will be fun. Negotiate or let them be slaughtered as the price of revenge.
Israeli hostages are too valuable to be killed. They will keep them for years and bargain them off. 1 hostage for 1000 jailed Palestinians or more. Thats the way its usually worked
