Yeah, it's more of an anti-ballistic missile weapon, like the Phalanx cannon used on US warships against anti-ship missiles. Of course, with the crappy explanation that Fox News gave in that story, it would be hard for anyone to be able to explain how the hell it worked.

The most annoying part of that news segment was the part where the reporter told people that this new system does not protect against IED's. Well, DUH... IED's don't fly towards their target :disgust:
