ISPs outgoing mail servers

Is there any way to find out if an ISP has setup an outgoing mail server through WhoIs or any of the other relates websites? I'm probably going to call tomorrow but just wanted to see if there was a way to find out before hand?
 
I can't think of any real easy ways, other than making checking their web page, they usually post them. Otherwise try common names like snmp.isp.com or mail.isp.com
