All,

I'm looking for specific information on cases where ISP's or college networks are being held responsible for illegal file sharing by various corporations. I'm trying to give my department a heads-up about what's going on in the real world. Most of them seem to be stuck in their windowless offices.

Thanks.

When most universities get notices from the RIAA or MPAA, they simply comply and force the student to remove the illegal material. It's not worth it for them to fight the RIAA/MPAA for something a student is doing that's illegal.

Verizon was just asked to hand over the name of someone who was sharing files... do a search for Verizon on the forum here, it'll come up.

Yes, I know. Do you have any links to articles about these cases? I remember something at the Naval Academy a few months ago, but couldn't find any information about it.
