ISpeed modem boosting software helpful??

I have an ISA USR 56K hardware modem which usually connects at 50666, and has online speeds of 28.8-48000. Realize phone lines have limitations, but would ISpeed at $10.95 be a positive investment? Thanks for anuy input!

I've not heard much about Ispeed, but I've heard of some others. If I'm not mistaken there are some free ones out there as well. I believe they use compression, but I would suggest putting this in the Networking thread. Someone there might have a really good idea of how beneficial that software is. I personally don't agree with it. I think if you use certain sites a lot, let your browser caching do its thing and just deal with the over-graphisized (if that's a word) internet.
