ISP service blocking!!!!

I understand that Anandtech Forums blocks free e-mail service and won't let you log in. I recently switched ISP's to Netscape which gives you a netscape.com e-mail address. This is a paid ISP and you have to sign up with a verified credit card. This is not the same as netscape.net which allows a free e-mail address.

Will someone please look into this and update the blocking software and/or fix the problem. I repeat, Netscape now offers a legitimate ISP which requires proper sign-up and identification.

It's probably because Netscape ISP = AOL. It doesn't really have anything to do with whether or not it costs $.

Netscape is not AOL based, not even close. Now obviously if Anandtech sees it this way, they need to get off their butts and fix it!

I understand that spamming was a big problem from AOL, and they were unwilling to try and help.

Since the 9-11 hijackings it has been obvious that a few moslems are very dangerous to the US.
So if we follow Anandtech's policy we should ban all foreign moslems from the US because those countries involved are unwilling or unable to solve the probem for us?

AOL owns Netscape.

And the reason AOL is banned is because they've refused to cooperate with AT to help out with problems AT has had with some of it's members.

We aren't talking about real people, we're talking about AOL users. Like you. 🙂

Get a clue. Blocking entire ISPs is a good way to help cut down on the problem. This is a problem with AOL, get them to fix it.

My mistake for not realizing AOL owns Netscape. I will simply change ISP's again. I was also unaware that AOL users don't qualify as "real people".

It's not so much that AOL users don't qualify as real people, as AOL not qualifying as a real ISP.

A very diplomatic and proper response, much better than n0cmonkey's post😀

But then one could get away with a comment like that with no fear of reprisal or flaming, because no one from AOL could answer!

Sometimes you gotta have some thick skin to see the humor in n0c's posts 🙂
