I wonder if it is common for ISP to make mistakes on their bills. It happened to us for about two times now.

Our ISP is frontier.

Luckily, we check and they lowered it down.

Whew

We have Frontier to and they have never messed our bill up. I check it every month to be sure. They do throttle my connection though and that really pisses me off.

Never had that problem. I pay a fixed rate every month, so there isn't much for them to screw up except changing the rate without my knowledge.

Comcast thrives on it. They'll mess up your bill and if you don't catch it right away they try to tell they can't make adjustments that far back.

We had to cancel Verzion fios as they messed the bill up about 40% of the time. Even after we canceled they still messed up the final one as well.

So far Cox has been good. Did a promotion this month on their internet so will see if they get that right.

You'd think that a fixed rate would be easy...but Uverse used to fuck it up EVERY month...
AT&T couldn't get our bill right one month in a row...Every month, we had to call and complain...we'd get a credit...that wouldn't show the next month...so we'd call and bitch...they'd adjust the bill and issue a credit for the trouble...that wouldn't show the following month...so we'd have to call again.........That went on for almost a year. We dropped them and went to Comcrap. We had ONE billing issue...when they changed our internet speed from 16 to 30 Mb/s...they raised our rates by about $2/month without explaining. Once we got that explained...I was fine with the increase...and the bill was right every month after that.

Never had a problem with FIOS in fact when I called to ask about a faster Internet plan they gave it to us for the same price we were already paying. It costs less for faster speeds compared to Comcast in my area. And FIOS doesn't cap you at 250gb a month, which I couldn't easily deal with as I already hit 300gb+ easily.

ISP's (and companies in general) do not make mistakes. You, the customer made the mistake. Apparently you didn't get the memo.

Not here; the cheapest FIOS internet is $70 for 15/5 with a 2 year contract, or $75 without contract.
They went up right after they said they would stop expanding FIOS and bought more wireless airwaves from comcast and other ISP's.
Wow... what a coincidence.

AT&T are fuckups in general. Years ago when I had a landline, I always had issues with their billing. That was over 20 years ago. You'd think they would have gotten better over time.

Mine kept charging me for a rental modem even after I had purchased one. I noticed it after about 3 months. I called in and they fixed it all up for me. Expected a $9 credit back 3x $3, instead they gave me a $50 credit for my inconvenience of having to even call.

About the only time I've been satisfied with them. I have a cable box sitting in a closet because I'm required to have it as part of my bundle, even though I have no use for it.

Over a three month period my health insurance company either didn't bill me or double billed me every single time. It never took more than five minutes on the phone to get them to credit my account or accept a payment (their front line CSRs are actually local people, amazing as it may sound) but the company they contracted all their billing with is evidently filled with idiots.
