Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend some sites that profile Flash designers and/or graphic artists for hire?

If any designers/artists see this post, please bump it with your site/portfolio.

Why do you keep bumping this, but you don't respond to the people who post their resume's ?

You smell like krassus to me.

Magnum375, I keep bumping this because I haven't found someone that I am comfortable using. Not that their work isn't good, but I don't have to explain myself to you.

I might respond to you if you actually:
1. Posted your portfolio
2. Made your profile available to the public
3. Turned your PM's on
4. Quit acting like a baby

I smell like krassus? Boy, you really put some time into that one!

First off, I did post my portfolio, but I took it down since you didn't respond to it, and were only bumping your own thread, 4 times.

I took it off because you gave no notion of why you wanted it, other than a vague idea that you want to 'hire' someone. In case you haven?t noticed, you will get a good response from the people on these boards when it comes to graphic arts, but only if you describe what it is you want. When you didn't respond to either me or ThePresence, who I know is a very talented member here, I got suspicious of your intentions. Krassus did the same thing, hence what I said.

Secondly, I'm not acting like a baby, apparently the slightest scepticism is enough for you to think I am acting like one.

As far as I would be concerned, if you want my resume or portfolio, you should be willing to tell me why....just my $0.02

No doubt.

I've had portfolio pieces and ideas jacked before, and I don't just give them away to anyone without reason anymore.

Yeah, I took my portfolio down (it's way outdated anyway). He's seen it already, there's no need to keep it up there.

Hmm, I'm not sure what you guys are trying to prove, but I will give you a little insight, free of charge.

First, I was merely doing a favor to the AT community by asking for submissions to see if I liked what I saw. I hadn't (from the submissions I had received) liked anything that I saw. That is why I hadn't contacted anyone about their posts.

Second, obviously you people don't do much business with others because in this case I am the employer and I don't have to do anything. If I don't want to ask you one question I can, because I am the one paying you. There are plenty of other places (that I will go to now that I have gotten this from the AT board) I can find the same, if not better caliber person who is not going to act childish like I've seen in this post.

Mikey....I don't have to tell you a thing about what I'm doing. I'm doing you the favor, not the opposite. That is a rule that quite a few here need to understand. I can (and will) give my money to others since you people are such babies about this. Also, you never inquired about what I was wanting do so why do you even care to post? Just my $0.02.

ThePresence: I'm sorry I didn't like what I saw, please don't take that as a putdown because it isn't. What I saw isn't what I thought would work with my idea, that is all. I figure better to just not say anything then to PM/email you and say, "Sorry I didn't like what you have to offer." Maybe I was wrong on that call, but I don't think so.

As for stealing/jacking ideas? I asked for a portfolio, not your personal ideas. If any of you had questions you should have asked me instead of attacked me. I wanted to see what you're capable of doing in flash, not how you plan to dominate the earth.

I have given AT work previously and been very pleased, but this...........

Nevermind, I just got a call that my friends are getting a divorce, I am through with this post...

Au contraire. Business relationships are a two-way street. Don't think you're the only one doing a favor. You're proposing to pay for a skill that you do not possess yourself. It is you who needs to rethink the rules of the game.

As for the scepticism by the respondents, in light of recent incidents, it's not entirely uncalled for.

Also, a "No, thanks" is better than just ignoring the responses.

That's my two cents.
