Isn't/Wasn't there a site(s) that could search multiple databases for online ads?

For example, lets say I want to buy a used car.

I thought I came across a site once that allowed me to input: Chevy Silverado, 1999-2002, for example, and it would show results from bunches of sites like cars.com, autobytel, edmunds, yahoo autos...................

Anyone recall that/those site(s)?

Doibtful, would probably violate the TOSes of each site.

How would this type of service violate the TOSes of each site if search engines can pull results from Amazon, ebay,....?

There's a huge difference between a search engine that indexes everything and a data miner that is designed to query information on-demand from a specific web site.

I'll pay (via PayPal) $5 the first person that can find a TOS for a site that advertises used cars for sale (e.g., autos.com) and prohibits external sites from performing a search. Post the TOS link here.
