4 days ago while driving we saw yet another stray in the middle of know where. It was palling around with another dog who had be hit and injured pretty bad. As much as I knew better to just drive away I just couldnt, and not with my kids in the car asking to go back. I really didnt need yet another dog, we have 4 we took in as strays to begin with, but, we saw it laying on the ground next to the one that got hit, and its face as we drove by, it knew just how to hit us with the sympathy look and we went back to get him.

I have all females right now, but now with him I cant put him with the others for I was not in a real big rush to get the other 3 females fixed till we had some disposable money. now with him, and having to have him tied up in the house so that he doesnt go marking up the walls, furniture, floor, toys, you get my point, with his manly sent, this is kinda becoming a must need to get done now kinda thing, and I thought there were services to help some out who are not financially able to go to any vet to have it done help out. we can feed him, along with ourselves, just 3 dogs to have done right now is a bit too much, let along even just him with this being Christmas and all and all disposable funds all gone.

So I am wondering am I wrong in thinking there is something out there? I called the 2 shelters before when we took it my last 2 dogs and was told there was nothing of the sorts, and Im not seeing much in the phone book thats any help to us locally as well since cant really go driving 40+ miles one way either. Im hoping that maybe Im asking the wrong way when I call and ask, or it has a different name it would be under to look up in the phone book or on line perhaps? Just any one that can point me in the right direction would be great :D

BTW this is him, and pretty much the look we got as we went by. Kids called him Buddy, and from what we can tell he is a Beagle/hound/rot mix.

And yes his bottom jaw is much longer then the top part of his mouth and fits in great here with all of us fuck ups. I got a cat we took in with 6 paws. Yup 6, she has 2 extra paws on the front legs, I call him her thumbs and blame her when stuff goes missing around the house for I know she has pockets to put the stuff in she steals with her hands. Got a Shepperd mix that likes to open doors. A border Collie that was badly abused that is extremely needy, trys hard as hell to talk, looks as me and mouth goes up and down and she belts out loud squeaks and squeals, and barks and whines at the floor when in the basement if someone uptop moves around. A Wiener Pit bull mix, dont need to say much about it, mini pit bull, with short stubby legs, and god forbid you if you have a rope in your hand. Protect fingers and hand for she wants it, and if you try to take it away will not let go and will dangle from the rope off the ground still trying to make you give it to her. And last is a Fox terrier/taco belll dog that pretty much walks all over on her hind legs trying to be human, and loves to bounce about 5 feet in the air.

So far Buddy aside of his massive lower jaw has funny quirks. After a bath will hunt out a blanket or towel to dry himself off with it. tries to talk, has looked at me several times with his mouth going up and down making clicking sounds from his teeth chattering, and when he drinks water proceeds to put his whole mouth, nose and all, under the water as he drinks. That there is the damness thing I ever saw for he kinda sucks the water up through his nose mouth together, and at times goes down into his lungs making him cough water out everywhere. OH and if not wearing a chocker collar can get out of every collar we have in the matter of seconds.

Another link incase the other one doesnt work, webshots is very finiky.

Going to try to upload the video I have of him trying to dry off after a bath.
But anyway, if anyone can point me in the right direction that be super :D:D:D

The animal shelters probably can help you find the cheapest option. Usually the fees associated with adoption cover the expense which was around $75 (total processing fee) when I got my dog 2 years ago.

I was able to purchase 2 "certificates" from the humane society up here in VA which I was able to use at the vet for a heavily discounted spaying/neutering for my 2 cats. They gave me a binder with a list of vet's and their discounted prices and I picked one and paid for it at the humane society.

Humane society, local animal shelter, both would be good resources for finding local spay/neuter clinics. Neither is likely to have any "free" options however, but they should be much cheaper than just taking them to your favorite veterinarian.
Here, neutering a dog at the vet will run between $250 and $300, but you can get a certificate through the county's animal services that gets you a spay/neuter, several shots, microchipping and the annual license for about $75.

I don't know why it cost so much to have done in other places. Here it only cost $70 and another $15 for a pain shot. There are also several vets that do specials to help out lower income people several times a year and only charge $30. Spaying is the more difficult one and I still think it only cost around $140 here.

I contacted the Gibson County humane place, they just left. Were now one more kitten heavier, BUT, we were able to have them take 2 dogs to find them homes that they sooo need. My little shit Terrier/taco dog may already have a home, and if she doesnt find one for the border collie in a few weeks she said she will put it up in their new kennel they are in the process of finishing up.

Ontop that she made a call to a place for me that will send me a form to fill out that if your income is under 30K per yer, which we are half that, they will spay or neuter all we have for free left.

Thanks for the heads up to all who pointed me where to go! It was a huge help and worked out all around. 2 dogs will find a home, a kitty has a new home and mine a play mate, and having 3 dogs left then 5, will be able to give them the attention they need. 5 was too much, and I wanted those two anyway to go to a nice home. The little shit was to wired and the border collie needs to go to a farm or somewhere to be pushed, not pent up and doing nothing. And the new kitten is nothing to take care of, they do it all by them self anyway and I got a new thing to watch play around the house. Its already become very attached to me and loves to sit on my shoulders puring away like crazy.

I got pics of my cat somewhere on my computer, but right now my head is pounding, I will try to post them up a little later or when I feel better and make another thread dedicated just to her so look out for her, its kinda freaky
