Isn't the GOP embarrassed that this guy is one of their leading spokesmen?

You shouldn't have chosen the word "spokesperson." That suggests an official position.

Hannity is an entertainer who's routine involves pushing a certain brand of the conservative agenda. He doesn't speak for Republicans. The actual party leaders and in a general way the candidates do.

This is true, and to be fair, many (not all) republicans did give credit to Obama for this. Then again, it was politically wise for the actual elected GOP officials to do so, since not giving him credit for something that widely popular would have made them look pretty terrible to the electorate. Hannity, on the other hand, being a media pundit, can preach to the far right and tell them anything they want to hear. He isn't running for office, so he need not worry about the "swing vote."

Are you saying you believe those reports? If so, why?

No what Hannity is actually referring to is Obama's stated opposition to some of the interrogation methods used that led to some of the intelligence that ultimately led to Bin Laden.

I mentioned it because it's the only thing that fits with Hannity's remarks.

Particularly the part about it "could be proven as well on tapes".

Don't need any tapes to prove Obama's opposition to enhanced interrogation methods.

However, in meetings such as where they were all gathered to discuss what action to take transcripts would be made. Taping is usually done and then the record is transcribed to print.

And, no, I was not saying those reports were true.

Oh lets be fair and recall exactly how Republicans praised Obama for killing Bin Laden.

And let's not forget Eric Cantor's resounding praise:
Eric Cantor said:
I commend President Obama who has followed the vigilance of President Bush in bringing Bin Laden to justice.

I certainly don't disagree with the point Woolfe made, but the other thing to say, is the people of Fox work for one man, and that is Rupert Murdock. Those that don't meet Murdock expectations will be out of a job, and for many, sacrificing their journalistic credibility is easy given the paycheck.

Since I believe in free speech, its hard to see a legal remedies for serial liars, but if enough people agree to boycott what ever products Rush Limbaugh and Hannity hawk on radio or television, we might have a effective weapon against such serial liars.

I said "many republican elected officials" and that statement is true. The fact that most conservative rank and file give him only limited credit only underscores the point: Hannity is playing to those people because they are his viewers. The GOP elected officials, however, have to consider independents who were overwhelmingly pleased with Obama's handling of this.

Eric Cantor is a douche, even as Congressional republicans go.

at the end of the day, what is most troubling is that people that watch his show lap up everything he says and believe it - no questions asked

Well, yeh- a very ambitious one, too. He's been sizing up Boehner for a political shiv between the ribs... they kill & eat their wounded comrades for brunch.

And by "they," I assume you're referring to each and every official in the House, Senate, and White House... right?

Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are just like Keith Olberman, Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow. They will all chery pick whatever news suits their agenda.

I saw an "interview" with Levin tonight and I thought Hannity wanted to have man- love with Levin. It was really creepy.
