I was visiting a friend who lived in a semi-ghetto area and I saw a black guy driving around in a cadillac holding a wad of bills out his window. I don't think it would look as cool for him to only be holding one or two bills.

People barely use cash now as it is. Its either Credit/Debit or Check. Many people don't carry around large sums of cash, thats why they invented the previously mentioned items. I'm pretty sure I'd be paranoid carrying a $1,000 in my wallet with no theft protection or the ability to cancel/stop payment...
