Isn't it against the law to post a cheap price, then call you up and tell you the price is wrong?

Well ok, spacecentersystems has been posting $8 for a lot of stuff, and NOW they call you up and say they posted the wrong price when there's a bunch of items worth $8... Is that legal?

Yes, they have a pricing error disclaimer on their website I am sure. You prolly agreed to it during the checkout at some point.

Kinda like when you order an OEM part and call you to say that it's out of stock, but they have a retail version for $20 more.

They'll have some sort of policy to protect them from typos, this isn't the first time there's been an error...

Deliberately doing so is, I believe, called bait-and-switch and is indeed illegal.

I have no idea how one would discern the difference between an honest typo and a deliberate pricing scam or what the laws say about such a situation.

If the company has a history of doing this you might want to send a letter to the attorney general of the state in which they do business.

Does anyone else that went with the deal want to go and sue?
