Funny how when a Chinese person does it, FauxNews headline reads "decapitation", but when a Muslim does it their headline reads "beheading".
I think it's the context. The chinese incident seemed to be more "pyscho" where as this islamic incident seemed to be rooted in some kind of "honor" killing according to sharia law
The Muslim world doesn't have a patent on a lover's quarrel.
Would you prefer being bludgeoned to death?
Maybe gunshots wounds are more considerate?
The Brits prefer blunt force trauma.
Umm no. Real men in any religion/culture don't place value on murdering their spouses. But there are 1.4 billion Muslims in the world...finding a few bad seeds isn't hard in any sample size that large.Originally posted by: TechBoyJK
im just saying this instance seemed to be rooted in islamic values

I don't think it really matters if the beheading was done as a matter of faith (or lack thereof). The general public may perceive this murder as being grounded in Islam, and stereotypes are made from perceptions.

There are plenty of Muslims in the USA - and through sheer statistics they will also commit crimes just like people of any other religion.

I've been saying for years, we must ban statistics and throw the statisticians in camps.

Exactly. The OP even talked about how it seems to come from 'Islamic Values', but the reality is that he is just making things up based on perceptions that come from stereotypes.
This is a huge double standard that exists in our society. If a Muslim, somewhere, is involved in violence we immediately look at his religion and say that is where the fault lies. Yet there are so many murders and other violent acts committed in this country that are never categorized as 'done by a christian' or 'done by a hindu/jew/buddhist'.
There are plenty of Muslims in the USA - and through sheer statistics they will also commit crimes just like people of any other religion. If this truly seems to be rooted in 'Islamic Values', where are the rest of the beheadings in the USA? If this is truly Muslim values, we should be seeing this everywhere
