Be sure to read the comments on the FOX site.

http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/06/06/first-time-history-islamic-prayers-be-held-vatican

For the first time in history, Islamic prayers and readings from the Quran will be heard at the Vatican on Sunday, in a move by Pope Francis to usher in peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

Francis issued the invitation to Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas during his visit last week to Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority.

Comments on Fox News are even worse than those on cnn.com. They make youtube comments look like they're written by Rhodes Scholars.

Go on, live dangerously.

I would rather stick forks in my eyes. If the Faux viewers who infest other forums are any example, they have the spelling ability of a first grader (no offense to first graders, they are just starting their education) and the intellect of a cow. Discussing anything with them is impossible because you can't reason with people who deliberately choose to be ignorant.

As an aside; you ever notice that the more conservative a person is, the thinner their lips are? I noticed that a long time ago and I make a game out of it with people I see. It's pretty damned accurate too...lol! I think it's because they are always pressing their lips together in disapproval of others.

Probably the best way to "usher in peace between israelis and palestinians."

There is nothing wrong with this. Jews, Muslims' and Christians all believe in one God and all of the old testament (many Christians view the old testament as a basic rules of life and don't get too caught up in what made sense at the time) There are many common grounds. Christians are expected to help the less fortunate and spread peace, which is what the current Pope is attempting to do.

this pope is even worse than the last one. i would wager that a lot of americans are going to leave the roman church due to this
If they ain't left over Vatican II, the post-Vatican II retrenchment, the molestation scandals, girl altar boys, the world's worst congregational singing, or Notre Dame fielding a crappy team, they ain't leaving over this.
