I think this topic is going to go huge in the up coming months
I'd rather contribute to Zebo's thread rather then Incors

Who do you blame for all this destruction to America?

George W. Bush and his regime of liars; of course.

Okay, fine, but fighting ISIS will actually help politician's capital compared to fighting Al-Qaeda. It's a name that has a villain ring to it. That is all I am saying.

This isn't a superhero movie, dude; you're obviously delusional. I hope you are not an American.

Been there, done that; they haven't stepped up, and probably won't because why should they when others pay for their security????????????

On the contrary, I hear many Iraqi men are enlisting to rebuff the terrorist advance.

Did all our KIAs in Iraq die for nothing?

Well it's about damn time they get up and fight, it's their country; sounds like they'll have it under control. Best wishes to them!

two different missions the "accomplished" mission was the defeat of Iraq, this was the rebuilding of Iraq that failed, due to shitty polices by Bush and Obama. However Obama was the last so its on him, and its a prime reason why you never ever ever ever ever, publicly state when you are pulling troops out....

No the failure could't possibly be because out of anger at getting caught with our pants down on 9/11, we irrationally attacked a country that had nothing to do with the attack.

Of course they didn't. Those Americans died to replace a stable secular government which was actively hostile to terrorists with a fractionalized islamic terrorist state. Mission accomplished. If neo-cons want to tinker some more PUT them on a air transport and send them on over. Otherwise they should shut their dumb mother-fucking retarded shit-filled mouths, cuz nobody at all gives a rats ass what they think anymore.

For once, I'm essentially in agreement with bshole.

Was there any real doubt that Iraq would become a sectarian shithole once we left? If we give them air strikes it should be solely to protect US interests. Nation-building that place is a lost cause.

Meh, just some more of those peaceful Muslims fighting each other like dogs. They hate each other because they are members of different sects of the same religion. It's no wonder they hate us too.

Oh, and assessing blame for what happened in the past that quite obviously cannot be changed accomplishes nothing. Let's make sure moving forward that we stay out of other countries business to the greatest degree possible. Let's take care of our problems here at home.

Was I the only one thinking Archer? :(
Nah, but . . .

I don't always think of boobs. But when I do think of boobs, I think of real life boobs, not cartoon boobs. lol

Hopefully this has taught us a lesson - the next time we decide we have to go to war with an Islamic nation, we don't try to make it a democracy or find the "good guys" and put them in charge. That's like pissing in the wind, if one pissed nitro glycerin or pure sulfuric acid. Next time, let's just destroy their air and sea ports, train stations, power plants, communications, military assets, etc. and call it a day. At the end of the day they're happier in the seventh century anyway, so let's just concentrate on keeping them isolated in the shit holes they so love to create.

None of the reconstruction projects were ever finished
The Iraqi government had to pay for those weapons that are now in the hands of the terrorists
Someone somewhere made a lot of money

Let's hope there's at least 30,000 of them to replace the soldiers that fled (from a force of about 800 too, ugh). Nice of everyone to finally get the message, even if they waited until the religious fanatics were 12 clicks outside the capital. Somehow 'rebuff' just doesn't seem to capture the gravity of dealing with people who have been lining roads with the heads of soldiers and police.

Of course not. They died for the ambitions of Cheney and his energy industry buddies, and to protect the US dollar's unique role regarding the oil trade. Just making the world and Murica safer. I guess the history we've been told that will undoubtedly prove Cheney and Bush correct has yet to transpire. It's ok though, Banana republican chickenhawks have quite the record with being correct. I'm sure it will all work out great eventually.

From a geopolitical standpoint, ISIS taking over in Iraq provides the counterpoint to a Russian-aligned Iran/Syria. Just let them fight each other and make sure nobody wins.

Best get your people out of the embassy too. Isn't there like 6000 Americans manning that station?
That's going to hurt when ISIS moves into the worlds largest and most expensive embassy

I fully 100% blame the American people.
You vote stupid and you get involvement with endless war like this.
I remember how cool people thought GW was with that cowboy hat and cowboy boots and that swagger and all that BS talk about bringing it on.
And fucked up Americans bought into that. Elected the terd president... twice.
And over 10 fucking years later, here we are. STILL.

Bush and Cheney and the republicans gave us Iraq.
John McCain gave us Sarah Palin.
For Gods sake... Will we NEVER learn?
Damn...

Yeah, no shit. Better send in the helicopters to evacuate people before Baghdad is surrounded by militants with SAMs.

What a ridiculously tragic waste of lives and money that debacle in Iraq has been.
