iShuffle question

so after charging my ipod shuffle on a friend's computer, it was working fine. Then, i charged it again one night. there were a couple of restarts while the ipod was in.
Now when i try to play it... it flashes the green and orange light alternatively and does nothing.
i feel like i lost all my songs..i dunno. what does that indication mean?

When itunes opened on the computer the second time iw as chargin, i just said no to associate it with this computer.

I just had the same problem the other night. My shuffle was not recognized on my computer or my wife's laptop. I had to install it on my server and update the software. Plus it would only work on certain USB ports.
