We got our new Mits 65809 65" Widescreen today in from Fry's, it was a floor model for 2 days and in that time period they seemed to have lost the remote. So that might be part of my problem. Anyway, we got it delivered today, they bumped it up against the curb causing little damage (then my dad called Fry's and we got a $250 discount) they got it set up so it turned on. Then they left, I was watching the NHL Skills Challenge today and the picture quality was horrible. There were these horizontal lines (that went away when I changed it to 480p from like 680i). Anyway, I plugged in my GameCube to see if the picture quality was the same horrible quality, nope. The colors were a little off (too bright and too red) but the picture was a lot crisper than regular TV channels. Because we don't have the remote, we can't change half the settings the manual instucts us to do. Anyway, I think the TV needs to be calibrated and I'm looking for a good ISF Calibration place that services the Bay Area (San Jose/Santa Clara), because the picture quality by itself makes me want to watch the old 27" Mits.

Also, is there anything that could have happened to the TV that an Calibration technician could not fix?

You should have made them give you a remote..
Probaly had an extra off a different floor model.

If you have a Big Screen Store near you , you might be
able to score a remote off them. They only sell Mitsubishi TV's

These links might help, too.

I think you can also rent AVIA from BLockbuster.
