What's the difference between a "Quick Format" and a "Standard Format" ?

any advantages and disadvantages ?

quick format clears the table of contents on the disk and leaves the data on the disk as junk, while the standard format writes zeros to all memory on the disk.

advantage of quick: its quick
disadvantage of quick: it leaves your old data on the disk

advantage of standard: it cleans the whole disk
disadvantage of standard: takes longer
