I have a Ascend Pipeline 50 Router which I've successfully configured for ISDN.
The problem is whenever i try to place a DOV call the router refuses to dial out.

Here is the result of the "show isdn" command after trying to place a voice call.

NL: CALL REQUEST: Voice, #5555555
NL: CALL CLEARED WITH CAUSE: 100 #5555555

which according to my handy-dandy list of ISDN fault codes means
100 64 Invalid information element contents Information element identifier(s) (Note 5) The remote equipment received a message that includes invalid information in the information element. This is usually due to a D-channel error.

Can someone shed further light on this error or suggest possible fixes?

do you have the ISDN switch type set correctly? like AT&T 5ess, NI-1, etc. your ISDN line should have this information on the provisioning order.

hmmmm, never dealt with austrailia ISDN.

so from what that error message is saying the switch is rejecting your request/response to somekind of parameter. if the router to refuses to dial out then that might indicate that you have no dial tone (I know, I'm looking for simple answers here).

what happens when you dial the ISDN number from an analog phone?

cheers!
