I live in Durham, I am listening to the yappy person in the next cube over. She's got batteries, canned goods, gas in the car, and cash! Yep, she is prepared.

I'm watching the storm progress. It is big but slowing down. I'm betting on landfall somewhere in the northern part of the Outer Banks. So, I've been procrastinating. I think I'll get a couple days of hard rain but that'll be the extent of it. It won't be another Fran.

Are other NCs taking a more serious stance than me? Tell us what you are doing or planning to do.

I'm in Raleigh. I was reading my PDA this morning and it said that there will be 45 MPH winds tomorrow here.

I say bah!! I'll be like Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump when he's up on the mast of the ship!!! 😛

lol

We got an announcement that the Metro will stop service aboveground if the winds go over 45mph. Unfortunately, my workplace still wants us to come in. I dunno what I'm gonna do if the Metro stops service because I don't want to take any leave.
