Is ZZF still sending out x2 3800+ toledos?

I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my comp and was wondering if they are still sending out the toledos even though the site says manchester. I hear the toledos OC better.

The only place I know that guarantees Toledo cores is Tankguys. But you can try your luck at ZZF, as many people have been reporting Toledos from there. 🙂

Do the toledos OC a lot better? because if i can get like another 100 mhz out of it i'm willing to pay the 365 on tank guys compared to 353 on newegg

Im in the market for a new 3800X2 but I haven't been reading up on it. Can you guys point me to a thread or something that explains how to tell the chips apart.

I dont think it matters whether you get an E6 Manchester or an E4. Both are likely to overclock just as well, it's just that we've seen a lot more E6s, and we've seen most of them overclock very well.

E4 = Manchester
E6 = Cache-Disabled Manchester (which would be a Toledo if it had all the cache)

My manchester does 2.4 GHz on stock, haven't gotten it higher since my Big Typhoon is not cooling like it should. I had it up to 2.6 on 1.4vcore but temps were simply too high.

They're freaking huge... Make sure you have lots of clearance in your case. It gets really close to the video card on some motherboards.

The the 3800 Toledo has a part number like ADA3800DAACD

The last two characters of Manchester will be ' BV ' ...

I think the ' overclockability ' of either , is really hit or miss..

I have a manchester that is stable at 2.5g & 1.35 v.. and 2.65 at 1.45v ..

Pushing the volts higher seems to make little difference.. I have a DFI mobo on the way, and I'm hoping it might give me a few more mhz past 265 HT..

I think some of the claims of 2.8 and higher with any X2 should be taken lightly,
but you might get lucky.

I bought at Xtreme Gear.. A little slow on shipping, but their price is low.

We did for a while, but we've got a ton of Manchesters now. Finally got bad luck of the draw, unfortunately 🙂

On the plus side, we are offering a free tube of AS5 with them!

Not really. The Toledos actually have 1Mb cache per core, but half of it disabled. There is some talk that they OC better than the Manchesters, but it's mainly based on anecdotal evidence, and not everyone agrees. I think the OC potential has more to do with your luck of the draw than if you get a Toledo or a Manchester.
