I've used blackice for a while now and I like it. I don't feel safe using ZoneAlarm, it just stands to reason that some hacking group will find a way to breach it, just b/c it's free, and people like free stuff. I dunno if it was a week only thing, but Best Buy was offering Black Ice for $9.99 after a $20.00 rebate, so check Network Ice's site for the info if its still there.

If you're that desperate, it's not difficult to get the 'full' versions for 'free'. :p JK well ZoneAlarm is decent as far as I know, you can also try something from Sybergen for free, but I think it might only be if you use Sygate.

There's also Norton Internet Security (not free) which is very good from what I've heard. ;)

If you want to test your system with and without a firewall, go to Gibson Research. With Zone Alarm, they tell me I'm in complete stealth mode. :)
