Is Zeus Components RAM any good?

I consider Zeus generic. Since quality memory is already dirt cheap, don't sacrifice your dollars on "cheap" memory.

Stick with Corsair, Crucial, Infineon...etc. 🙂

I ordered some older pc133 Zeus ram that was rated at 7ns which ran at cas setting 2-2-2.

however, a recent order of zeus pc133 ram wat made of different ram chips and only ran the standard cas 3-3-3

I've had several sticks, never an issue with them. Most are, of course, CAS3, but what do you expect? You can get a 256MB Zeus module for about the cost of 128MB name-brand. If you don't require CAS2 or high FSB speeds, it should be just fine.

As far as Zeus SIMMs go:

Ordered 6 - 64 MB 72 pin EDO SIMMs from Access Micro for a server. 5 were good, one was bad. Access Micro made the RMA process fairly easy on the defective one. They even apologized in their e-mail for the bad one.

The ones I received were 4K refresh. 4 went in the server and one into another Linux box for a friend. My 4 are performing flawlessly with a PPro 200/512k on an Intel motherboard. My friend's run fine as also his is a PPro 166/512k

I ran Sandra 2001 as a benchmark and they were comparable with their existing database. 87 MB/sec which is about average for SIMMs on a 200 MHz CPU.

i'd have to say all generic rated at 133mzh Cas3 is rock solid at Cas2 w/ interleaving, etc....

the only reason to buy high-quality brand name memory is for better overclockability or "corporate" use...

I used two 256 pc133 sticks before trading it in for Crucial memory.
If you aren't going to overclock them, they'll do fine. They work as advertised, but you'll get mixed results if you trying oc'ing.
