I find every one of those beers nasty, but then again I prefer a nice creamy stout..

the list is snobbery imo. take bud light for example...outsells every other beer in teh world by a large margin. If it were terrible it wouldn't sell; kinda like brittany spears.

could be because the price is right. also, i read that budweiser's sales have been dropping.

most of the beer I drink is on that list. Oh well, if it was popular it would be more expensive. <off to grab a 24oz Busch Ice from the fridge>

I've been drinking a lot of Coors Extra Gold recently. It's just a tad more expensive than Keystone but WORLDS better. It's a good cheap beer... for college or bigger parties.

No offense, no wait YES to the offense, but Americans need to stop supporting the piss they call beer (Coors, Bud, and Miller).

Local brews and foreign FTW (and by foreign I don't mean foreign version's of US piss water i.e. Hein, Corona, etc)

nope, Lucky or Ironhorse... have not crossed their paths.

only molson, labatt, moosehead and that sleeman slider stuff as far as canadian brews.

oh, this one too:

I found that Keith's Red is a very nice and easily drinkable ale. Best of all, I can even get it here in Hong Kong. :awe:

But yeah, the beers on the list suck ass.

Beer queers are a funny bunch...all the top selling beers are also on this worst list.

Real beer drinkers really don't give a shit and are especially not going to be home brewing unless making a profit at it.

There are nerds in everything though.

This is a public service announcement.

This is not a beer:

If you want widely-available beers, THIS is what you get:

OMG, so many piss-water drinkers getting all defensive!

Face it, all light beer sucks. It basically cuts the balls of a regular beer for all those people who are afraid of going off their diets when drinking during beer-pong.

As for the other? All you have to do is look at some of the names. One was, what, "Camo Silver Ice High Gravity Lager"??? WTF is that? Silver Ice? In Camo? During High Gravity? I wonder if they came out with a Camo Silver Ice High Gravity Light!

As for snobs, that is a funny one. There are beer snobs out there that will take your average drinking beer like a good Yueng Black and Tan and criticize it for not using the right percentage of hops or the right aging time, etc etc, but most beer drinkers, including a lot of them on that site, just love beer and will not rate a natty Ice Light (yes, they had light "Ice" beers) on par with a well poured nitro Guiness, or a good Brooklyn Monster Ale.

As for other things?

Dominos /= Grimaldis
Beefsteak Charlies (DOA) /= Ruth Chris (still a chain!)
Olive Garden /= Italian ;)

You are allowed to LIKE a lot of this stuff. The fact that people like Charlie Sheen movies is testament to that, but somehow calling anybody a snob for calling alcoholic carbonated pisswater what it is? That is just insecurity because you seem to think that there is something special about YOUR pisswater. ;)

And surprising. I've never understood why people think Yeungling is the shiznit. I personally can't stand the stuff.

It is my bottom rung beer.

I have to admit it tastes much better tap than bottle than can.

Their Black and Tan is better, and their porter is not bad either. Their Bock was dissapointing for the price.

Worst beer I ever had: a smoked weissbock. Tasted like a smoked bannana. Couldn't even finish half a glass. Nasty, nasty stuff.

I'm not a fan of most of those beers, but their order is a little weird. Bud Light is bad, but there's no way it's worse than a Hurricane.

Its amazing how many nerds are beer snobs. Beer snobs are some of the most annoying people to have a drink with. Most of the people posting in this thread exemplify that.

Because they won't drink piss water and like it like you do? :D

Seriously though, if you are ever in the city, try Blind Tiger Alehouse on Jones and Bleeker.

They will let you taste a few beers before deciding and some have been the best I have ever had (different lineup each week, and sometimes visits from local brewmasters).

Combine that with a bar with a fully functional fireplace and open windows to the streey, IN NYC, and you get something you do not get in a thumpa-thumpa "what did you say?" drunk bar.

This list is VERY dogmatic?

Milwakies Best Ice should not be on this list. In terms of alcohol per dollar, this beverage can not be beat. This was the standard beer among my engineer friends who did the "trade study". We affectionalty called it diesel while the normal milwakie's Best was called unleaded.

CTD, I will agree with you on the smoked beers. They taste like you are drinking a kielbasa.

But, I cannot say they suck, just that I hate them. BTW, they are GREAT for making marinades and sauces for beef and pork!
