Do you think your computer is unique, at least on a hardware level? There are millions of PCs sold every year. Many are of the cookie cutter variety: they roll off the assembly line and use the cheapest, crummiest parts available.
But the systems most of us use--the ones we build ourselves--are likely rather more original.
Take mine:
P4 2.4C @ 2.91
2x512mb Corsair PC3200 XMS @2-3-3-6
Geforce 6800GT
3 hard disks: WD 200gb, IBM 45gb 75GXP (volume label: "unimportant data"), Seagate Barracuda II 30gb.
NEC 5700A DVD ROM
Lite-on 48246S 48x24x48 CDRW.
I suspect mine is probably unique, with the odd assortment of old (Seagate 30gb, NEC DVD ROM) and new (Geforce 6800GT) technology, but I'm not entirely sure. Given the variety of hardware available, I would say the chances that mine is not unique are quite low.
What about yours?
