Is Your Stock Exhaust Tip Embarrassing?

I now notice econoboxes coming from the factory with 'enhanced' exhaust tips. Talk about SUV drivers using their vehicles as penis extensions. I think this is far more blatant and laughable! :p

I'm going to attach some huge sewer pipes to mine, and let them drag on the ground behind. OMG, some guys are going to be SO jealous! :p

The tips on one car are the same size as the exhaust - 2.5". The other one car has oval tips on both mufflers (they're stock - I didn't put them on).

Mind you, I drive a '93 econobox, so I don't think my opinion's valid in this case.

Thanks for sharing that to a forum that has a population of like 99.82% men. That infomation will come in handy.

so does the TL :D

ah but the Max has a variable muffler that changes backpressure in the rev range..so in upper revs it has more flow and in the lower revs it creates back pressure.

Maxima hs torque, TL is none. :)

I love TLs though!

The Turbovan's dual tips are tasteful (And stock, and not actually connected to anything), it's REAL exhaust tip is not visible (deflected downwards behind the bumper for stealthiness). The Vandura's bigass pipe is.... Well, a bigass pipe.

Yeah, that sounds like the Vtec system though, TL HAS Vtec.

I think TL has 215 ft. lb? that ain't bad. Oh and we got 225 horses... Max has what? A PALSLEY 222?

*evil laugh* hahahaha!

sorry, back pressure is not related to valve lift.
and i'd rather have torque than the extra 3 hp or watever

It does not change backpressure. It may adjust the gas velocity by narrowing the cross section, but backpressure will ALWAYS decrease torque.

My stock tip is just a downturn, not a tip at all really.

If I had to put a new one on, I'd either use an aftermarket's stock tip, possibly a 2-2.5inch slant cut round exhaust tip (either straight or rolled edge), or put something like this rectangular magnaflow 35175:

It should fit in the factory cutout for the exhaust tip nicely :D
