Is your job on the line?

Normally organizations like to lay off in November into December before renewing budgets for the new year so I am a little late on this one. However my own job could be at risk early next year and it's just one more thing to think about during New Year's celebration.

And I don't know how to post a poll on this thing...

There is a slim chance. But I have 4 people hired after me so cuts would have to be extremely deep for me to worry.

Well considering my boss just told me to book a ton of training for next year and is booking a flight for me to fly out to one of our data centers after the new year, I'm thinking probably not.

I don't think so but working for the public school system my job is somewhat subject to the whims of politicians and budgetary requirements.

No, they desperately need me in 2010. We're migrating all of our customers to another data center and transferring control of the network connectivity to another department. Once that's done they'll kick me to the curb post-haste; should be right around December.
