I was just wondering, because I'm starting to notice all this "Hello Kitty" stuff starting to spread around the house like a virus. She's even got the floor mats & steering wheel cover for the car! (Which I'm glad I don't drive) Plus, now our only working portable phone in the house is her "HK" phone! I wish the damn phone company would send mine faster before I go back to using a non-portable phone. Just thought I'd vent. :D

Thank god. No. Wait till she starts wearing pink while she's out with you. I'll see what you'll say. :D

<< no, i dont date little 5 year olds >>

Yeah you do. :p

Anyways. It's actually 2001 now, and not 1979. It seems that females between the ages of 18-25 are buying this stuff!

<< Sh1tcan that broad, no man should have to put up with that. >>

You're right. I've given her own room to put all that crap, but it seems to spread itself out into the rest of the house!

my husband bought me the cooooolest pen -- it was a black, Hello Kitty pen with a huge, long, black feather attached to it. Someone stole it out of my office though :( That was my only HK item, and definitely atypical.

When Hello Kitty just came out, it was the hottest thing in town, especially when Mc Donalds was exchanging it for each meal that you bought. Now its like part of everyday life.

Hello Kitty first came it in Asia in the '70s and the U.S. in the '80s.
All the little girls at my elementary school had the stuff.

What's sad is she's addicted like it's a crack addiction! She wants the "Hello Kitty" KIA car!!! Yes, I remember when it hit here in the early 80's, but now it seems to be making a comeback, and I'm not so thrilled. I can't even list all the HK parafenalia I've bought for her, but it's definatly a life saver for when I'm in the doghouse. Guess I'll be buying her the TV for X-Mas. :p

Please don't say that. Ack... This is the only time I'm going to say this, but "Thank goodness for Windows XP"! I can have my dark desktop, and she can have her Sanrio covered desktop. No more nagging about putting a damn HK screen saver on my computer!

No way, even in the asian communities they're still big... at least up here they are. I remember in grade 10 i saw girls with HK stuff... 8 years later and i didn't really notice it until my last gf was into it, and i had to pick up a few stuff with her, then i realize how many HK shops there are.
