I come from the midwest. I visited L.A. a few years back. I was horrified, sort of. I could actually TASTE car exhaust in the air. I'm amazed anyone who lives there makes it past 40.

la is full of smog since i go there from florida, coral springs down in the south is very clean.

Smog causes heat? Are you kidding me? A smog is literally a bubble of sh*t hovering around your city trapping heat in and every other chemical and gas in. It's like a sauna...not only is there humidity in the air...but SMOG heat. It also prevents you from breathing properly...which results in a higher body temperature. The only good thing smog does is block out UV rays from the sun because apperently even that can't penetrate through its shield of sh*t. Toronto is like 3rd or 4th worst city in NA for smog, LA being # 1.

Nomada: Ya it was hot, I did almost 2 hours of cardio during noon running around the park, I was dying. The senior citizens are getting owned.

wow, 800 people yearly die from heat..try Mexico City. They say its soo bad that it praticaly lowers ur life expectancy. beat that But since Mexicans walk everywhere, they actualy live longer if not just as long as we do, so counters that.

I've been an LA resident for the past 17 years and whenever I go out of state (Vancouver, Seattle, Virginia, etc), i can't breath!

Oh it's not the heat...heat is not a problem...it can be 40 C outside...as long as there is fresh air to breathe...having 30 C + smog is much much worse then 40

Hmmm not really, the wind here blows about 30MPH every day, so our smog is distributed to everyone north of us.
