I posted my experiences in a new thread; sorry, didn't find this one.
I put together a SLI rig with the Asus A8N32 board, an AMD 64x2 3800+, 2GB of RAM and using two EVGA 7900GT COs. The assembly and installation went flawlessly. I'm using the newest Nvidia drivers. Far Cry runs terrific with all sliders up at 1280x1024.
However, America's Army and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory are exhibiting strange behavior. The have jagged lines running across the screen. Usually just the top third of the screen, but sometimes the entire screen does this. The screen is also less bright when this occurs.
I tried using the game specific profiles in the video driver, but that didn't help. It actually made Far Cry to cause the system to reboot right after a savegame is loaded. I was able to get Far Cry running again after a driver uninstall, reboot, re-install and reboot, but the other two games mentioned are still behaving oddly. These are the only three games on my system at the moment.
Has anyone seen this type of behavior? What should I do?
The Nvidia drivers are the 84.21 from the Nvidia site. I just found some drivers on EVGA's site; they are labled as "8456XP2K". Anyone have experience with these? Think they'd be better since they are from EVGA?
UPDATE:
The 8456XP2K drivers allow America's Army to play, but Wolf:ET is still showing lines on the top third or so of the screen.
