Because Perry said so. And, when Perry says something, it doesn't need to be grounded in logic, fact, or even theory, in order to be correct. It just is.

Yes. I come on these forums to mislead and tell untruths. I tell stories that I have concocted from thin air in order to put fear in peoples bones.

yeah perry looks to be the loser in this battle. Ask him a polite simple question and he dodges it and then says you're hotheaded or something to that extent.

It's sad that people like that fix computers and give advice for a living. And people wonder why the "computer guy" has a bad reputation.

If you're wondering why people don't take you seriously it's because you're a Joker. You honestly believe that if someone doesn't have a microsoft support # that they're lying?

Why don't you take your A+ certification and find a job that will help you learn how to fix printers.
Sound like you know what you're talking about and then you shall receive the respect you desire. Sorry to say that day is probably a long way off for you. Until then you are a beginning computer tech.

Yeah A+ cert. Gotta get me one of those. It sucks being a beginning computer tech. Life is so tough.

Why don't you learn how to install a service pack without having to call for help?

Mods, is this thread done yet?

On the other hand, if you actually DO know what you're talking about, you don't care about respect on an anonymous internet message board and are content with the knowledge that you know what you're talking about.

Where's that leave you?

Yes, all service packs can. It is typically the best way to do it as it eliminates nearly all 3rd party software from running while the service pack is installing.
