Is XP SP2 All-Inclusive?

Or, do I need to patch to SP1 first? I have the free CD from MS... Planning a clean install from original disks and then running the setup on the CD. Is this right?

Also, what version of DirectX does it copme with 9.0b or c?

SP1 includes SP1 and all updates in between. However, there have been many updates since SP2 was released, so it is not ALL inclusive.

Yes, SP2 is all inclusive.

Some IT Pros have dubbed it as a WinXP-2, since it REALLY does some heavy changes on the OS.

I suggest you learn how to include SP2 on your WinXP install CD; you can find it @ the Pabster (www.tomshardware.com)

Yes SP2 has all of SP1 updates, easy thing to do would be use AutoStreamer and make your own XP with SP2 CD already slipstreamed.

Autostreamer link. .

All you need to do once you`ve made the ISO image of XP+SP2 using AutoStreamer which is so easy to use, is run Nero Express from Nero burning software and select for burning "disk image",this will burn you a nice XP CD with SP2 built-in, it`ll be bootable as well .

I` ve made a few myself using AutoStreamer.

Yes, this is the best way. It makes an install very simple.
