Is Windows Genuine Advantage for XP only?

I ran my Windows 2000 Pro box through a Windows Update pass, and I don't recall seeing anything about the WGA stuff...when I ran my XP Pro box through update I remember seeing it install and such.

So does WGA only apply to XP, and not 2000?

I guess that makes sense since only XP has the activation thing...but I just don't remember reading anywhere that it's XP only...maybe I'm blind...

I am almost certain it only applies to XP.

According to the FAQ, it is for 2000 (client, not server) and XP only. I don't have a 2000 machine to test though.

Yes, I did some updates to my 2000 machine recently & I definately saw a reference to this !!!

Apperrently I need to pay more attention when I update...
