Is Windows 2k w/ SP3 Ideal For Gaming Purposes?

How does Windows 2k work with gaming....Id like to try Win2k out since I own it and never tried it. I formated and out XP on with my machine

Also Im re-partitioning my hard-drive. how much space should i give Windows 2000 Pro and Windows XP (i often switch)

im thinking 3 GB for 2k and 4 GB for XP?

then roughly 20 GB for games/mp3's
and 5 GB for programs

Definately switch to Win2k! I did so just last week even though I had Win2k for a few years now. I always thought it was terrible in games, but the fact is I gained at least 5fps in every game I play. It's more stable - it hasn't frozen once since I've gotten it (if this was win98se it would've frozen at least 4 times by now). Just make sure you dowload the win2000 drivers for all of your hardware before installing. It'll make life easier. Enjoy

not running same OS's at the time....i said I switch them, meaning switch OS's im using on the parititon.

Thanks, but I hope Windows 2000 treats me well.....I have XP as well, not sure which route I wanna go

Yes I am wondering about the same question.....
How much should be partitioned for those operating systems?

you specifically state SP3 in your title, and since it is brand new
nobody knows for sure.

SP3 does however included a new EULA and "spyware"

so maybe SP2 is a better bet ??

Which spyware is this? And why are you the first one that's said anything about it?
