the national interest/jacksonian interventionism of John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Sarah Palin is quite coherent no matter how much it sucks a mountain of ass.

the altruistic/jeffersonian isolationism of Old Dr. Paul is perfectly coherent.

the national interest/hamiltonian isolationism of dr. david duke and pat buchanan is pretty coherent even though it sucks a big fat juicy one.

but how does bombing the world make it safe for democracy? when does it work? did bush really make iraq safe for democracy when he had u.s. boots put on the ground there to depose saddam hussein?

It never works, unless your someone like Cheney that owns a lot of *Lets blow shit up for Profits* guy, while Dubya rubs his hand together saying *I wanted to be a war President* , goes into a bubble, and runs the Economy into the dirt.

I guess just throwing all those TLAM's there for no real reason was good economically to begin with, you seem to have a pretty vague notion of Politics to begin with all I can say.
