Is White CAT5 cable available?

Pretty much any color of cable is available, for a price. I hear that there's a lot of the wiring closets over at U Wash here in Seattle that have their cabling done in school colors!

Belkin.com sells Cat5.

Outpost.com resells it. They've got every color you could imagine, great customer service, too.

Does anyone know what colors Home Depot carries?

Got some Blue Cat 5e from the local HD a while back.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but what does the e in Cat5e signify? How many different types of cat5 cable does HD sell?

Cat5E is "enhanced" - Better specs and supposedly compatible with Gigabit over Copper. It's probably all you can get in bulk nowadays - Regular Cat5 is being phased out, for the most part.

I was just at HD. They had blue and gray in the shorter lengths (100 ft or less) and they had only (light) gray in the 1000 ft spools of CAT5E. Good price though. $57 for 1000 ft.
