I have a golf round today at 12:30 PST at san leandro, CA.... weather.com says that there will be thunderstorms today

but the funny thing is it is totally clear right now....

they're usually pretty good with my area (New England/Mass...) but as with any type of forecasting, they're not fortune tellers, they could always be wrong from time to time 😉

Yeah, they're usually pretty good but like most forecasters... they can be wrong. Weather.com is Weather Channel. You could try accuweather as an alternate source just for comparison. That's what I do.

There are times that weather.com is right, and times they are wrong. There are times the NWS is right, and times they are wrong. They really never agree on anything.

it's dropping in and out, good luck.. i live in alameda.

It's usually a day or so off around my area... i don't look beyond that because after 3 days anything goes... they had rain forecasted 3 days of the week one time... and it never rained. 😕

no...I find them to be horribly inacurate. I used them daily for quite some time until I realized that they couldn't even get the 'right now' weather right, let alone the forecast. My all time favorite moment is definately coming in to my computer after driving back to school (in RI) during the blizzard this winter and seeing that the weather outside was 'partly cloudy' according to weather.com when it was clearly snowing quite a bit.

yeah, sunny right now.

last night it said it was going to rain for the next 4 days here in Sacramento. its bright and sunny today and i'm going to go jogging.

NWS is better than Accuweather, Intellicast, Unisys, or the Weather Channel. Your best bet for a 3 day forecast is the NWS. If you want to go farther out than that; learn to read computer models.

heh weather.com said that there would be thunderstorms today..

I just finished a nice 18 hole round at san leandro, almost nobody is there because of the forecast...

and it was very sunny... with a little bit of wind

eastern NC here and its usually very accurate, only off by a couple of degrees if anything, and usually calls rain/sunshine accurately as well
